Simply Saturday - A simple singer from a small town

OMG, how can James be voted off?  He was the better singer out of the 4 finalists.  I thought he would have been the 2011 winner and Scotty will be second and Lauren will come third.  I guess it's really all about popularity.  I am very disappointed but I can't really do anything about it because I never voted.  They were going to have a big party for James and he was suppose to be singing with the WAE - White Album Ensemble - a Beatles cover band.  We saw them perform a few years ago and they were really great. They don't look like the Beatles nor they try to look like them but they sure perform all the Beatles songs from whatever album they are doing.  They play the songs from the track in the same sequence as on the record - Side 1 then Side 2.  I am sure James will be be offered by some other record company and will be releasing songs sooner than the winner of this years.  Now that he is not in the show, I guess I don't really have to watch it, I will just wait until they picked the winner.

From the Santa Cruz White Album Ensemble Email List:
If you've seen any of the local White Album Ensemble performances in the last couple years, you have probably seen the extremely talented James Durbin performing with the band, on tracks such as "While My Guitar Gently Weeps." Now James Durbin is a Top 3 Finalist in the American Idol competition, and he performs back in Santa Cruz this Saturday!

This Saturday, May 14
At the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk. The White Album Ensemble will be among the performers with Durbin, around 4 pm. WAE will include Drew harrison, Tammi Brown, and a full horn section!
This event is FREE and open to the public!

WAE will have special guests Drew Harrison, Tammi Brown, Alysha, Roger Eddy, Brian Stock, Steve Wilson, Will McDougall, Trey Sabatelli! WAE will do a set, then back our "Idol" James for 4 songs.

This is another Gamble sleepover except this time we will have him from noon today till noon tomorrow.  His dad, Dan is celebrating his birthday this weekend so Gamble's mom will be taking Dan for dinner.  This way they can stay out late, have a nice dinner and whatever else they will do to have fun without worrying about Gamble.  We haven't really thought about what we will do with Gamble but I know it will involved playing with cars, building cars Lego and maybe out in the park playing with soccer ball or basketball.  Gamble likes going out for lunch or dinner but likes to have breakfast made by Grampa (who makes the best pancakes) and Ola (who makes the best bacon).
This was taken last time we took him to the park and had a picnic.
