Material Monday - Still completing forms

Almost at the end of the month and we still have not submitted the forms because they are still some sections of the forms that needs a bit more work.  We probably have completed 75 percent of it and we need to the complete the forms online to make it official.  Although we have all the materials as evidence, we have to photocopy everything for submission.  I have to admit that we have not been giving it our hundred percent attention.  My excuse, I have been sick for a couple of weeks and completing forms is the last thing I want to do.  Good news is that I have completed my Canadian Income Tax and ready for submission this week.  Jeff's excuse, he has been truly busy with work and even after his normal hours, he still has to put in an extra couple of hours here and there.  The only way we can truly finish both application forms is to spend a weekend concentrating only on this task without interruptions.  We couldn't do it this past weekend because Jeff is trying to get everything ready for his income tax appointment in a couple of weeks.  In addition to that, we had to babysit the grandkids yesterday in order for their Dad to do some side job.  Almost forgot, I also had to do some of the house chores that has not been done due to my illness.  Of course I still have to take it a little easy as I did not want to push it.  Two weeks of staying at home is getting a little old.  I missed a couple of rounds of golf, one night of bowling, and have called in sick three times to the volunteer place.  I cannot believe what I saw in our front lawn which goes to show I did not even got a chance to look out the window while I was sick. Maybe these plants think that Spring is here.

Skeptical Sunday - Becoming an American

By the 5th of August this year will be my five years residency in the USA. Wow, it has been that long. What does this mean? Well, at first I thought that I needed to wait for five years in order to apply for citizenship.  When I actually checked the rules on their website, I only needed to be here for three years because I am married to a real American (Jeff was born and raised in California). Now you are probably wondering what am I waiting for.  I wanted to be sure that if I became a citizen of this country that I won't lose my Canadian Citizenship.  According to both websites, it appears that both countries allow dual citizenship.  If that is the case, than having dual citizenship would mean having the best of both worlds. There's only two benefit for becoming a US citizen, vote and no more renewing of PR card.  Medical coverage is the number one for remaining Canadian. Wait, I am still skeptical about the process which apparently doesn't take as long as it used to be. There's at least seven more months to decide where to apply or not.  Does anyone have any reason why I shouldn't?

What Wednesday - Contest Rules

Very simple rules for my 7777 contents.  Everyone of my followers are eligible to enter even my family members.  There will be seven questions that would be posted on my daily blog except you will have to remember to write it down.  It won't be every day or every week, it will be all random.  Once all the seven questions are posted, you would submit your answers by email to the following account: cranberryportagebb@gmail.com

The deadline will be when my counter is at 7707.  The winner will be announced when my counter reached the magic number of 7777.  The two judges I have picked is my MIL and my hubby.  The contestants answers will be given to them by numbers only.  They would not have the names of the people that entered.  The answers for each question will be awarded points from 1 to 7 (7 being the highest).  The winner will be the one with the most points.  The prize will consist of 7 items that will be announced at the same time I announce the winner.

What is the most important thing in your life and why?
