Satisfying Sunday - Six years of blogging

It is hard to believe that I have been blogging for six years.  I have to thank my daughter for this because she was the one who got me started.  She suggested that I start one so that my friends and family can follow what I have been up too after moving to Cali.  Although my followers are not in the hundreds, I know that those who are still following this are enjoying each post and actually look forward to the next one.  As for my 6th year anniversary, I am sharing some new things for 2017.  This first one was freshly made yesterday as I needed a new flag for January.  It feels like this will be a great year for everyone.  Happy New Year!

January theme - Winter equals Frozen equals OLAF.
The following photos are new things for welcoming 2017.  As you can see I have a couple of really warm hoodie to keep me comfy for the cold winters we have in the Bay area.

Black flats from COACH, Patriot watch and key chain, new CD, Minion ear buds.

My daughter got this for me from the Bay store (aka Hudson's Bay Co) downtown Toronto.

My BFF Lorna (from Ottawa) sent this via Canada Post and it arrived on Christmas eve.  So perfect.

Tackle Tuesday - So behind

Tackle as a football term or tackle as determined efforts to deal with.  Today I am doing both. I decided to watch the Patriots and Lion's game from last Sunday while doing my sewing and some housekeeping chores.  I am so behind with my blog posts, email, sewing and I haven't played golf since November 13th.  Please don't take this as me complaining, I just wanted to catch up and tackle as much as I can.  That means today I am also all over the place. Although this will be a short post. I have some photos to share to show what I have been up to.

My latest collections to wear when my team gets to the Superbowl.
My new Cranberry Portage coffee mug and Maria's new spoon rest.
The little girl's apron I made for Maria's granddaugther.

Maybe Monday - Is this a sign?

What is a sign that a blogger is getting tired of blogging?  Is it when you start missing a post for a day, two day maybe even three or even a week?  Is it when you start running out of topics or ideas to share?  Maybe it's because one is too busy with life and truly enjoying it.  I am hoping that I'm not any of the above.  The truth is that I have been not feeling 100% lately and today is probably the first day I can say that I'm at 85%.  Maybe it's the change of weather.  Although we are still having some beautiful sunny days but not too hot to be outdoors.  Just check out this photo of my golf buddy when he arrived last Thursday at the parking lot.  It's mid October and he can still drive this convertible.

I think this might be a 65 Mustang. Check out the blue sky.

Timely Tuesday - Two Year Anniversary

Two years ago I decided to join the world of blogging.  Thanks to my daughter's suggestion, today is my two year anniversary and just short of 650 posts.  To celebrate this wonderful experience, I would like to do a Two on Two Give away that is easy and simple.

Happy New Year to everyone and hope that this year brings you all the happiness that you can take, all the good times that you can enjoy, and all the excellent health you can have.
This year happens to be my year - 2013  is the year of the SNAKE - does this mean I will be really lucky?  I wonder what is really in store for me.

Truthful Thursday - A little daring

A little daring you might say, but I thought it was time to change the look of my blog.  After checking my daughter's blog, I noticed she changed some of the design and that's when I got a little brave.  I checked out some of the different design and colors of the template and background.  Maybe too much red and it's not even Christmas, but since the title of my blog is Cranberry, I thought why not make it a true cranberry color.  I asked my daughter to check it out and within minutes she designed a new banner for my blog to match the design and color I picked. As you can see, she did a great job and I love how it is so simple and yet classy. One thing I have to remember is using different colors for the text. I would have to be cautious as I don't like my readers having to wear some special glasses to be able to read the text.  If for some reason I get some truthful comments and truthful suggestions, then of course I am willing to change it up to make sure my audience are happy.  So if you have some ideas or comments, please send them my way, I would love to hear both positive and negative.  This is the only way for me to learn more about blogging.  For now I am loving this new look.

Speaking of colors, I have been searching for a new summer purse and this year I decided to pick yellow.  I guess it all started when I bought those yellow flip flop.  For our cruise I am contemplating with these combinations: Black/White/Yellow or Black/White/Turquoise.  If I pick the second one, then it means I will have to buy a turquoise purse or maybe I will just use a black one.
For the price I paid for this, I won't feel guilty buying a Turquoise purse.
Nine and Co. Jolie Too Patent Satchel
This is available at Kohl's but not the right price.
Maybe I can get one of those cross body purse for my birthday.  I just need to check some online and then forward it to Jeff - he loves to shop online.  But I might just check some of my favorite shops to see if I can get one that is pretty and my price range.
