Wonderous Wednesday - New coffee flavors

Just when I thought that the flavors of my coffee are starting to get a bit boring, there it was, new flavors that I have not tasted before.  As for Jeff he would be happy with the French Vanilla but he did get a little excited to find his other favorite "Chocolate Glazed Donut" by Donut House.  When we were looking for some items at Walmart, I told Jeff to check out the area where they have the Kcups for our Keurig.  He found me and ask me to check all the new flavors that were available.  The great deal was that they sell them cheaper than anywhere else.  I decided to call my MIL just in case she needed to replenish her supply.  It's good that I checked because we ended up buying seven boxes for her.  So here's some of the new flavors that we will soon taste.

If you have a Keurig Coffee Maker, which coffee brand do you prefer and which flavor is your favorite.  Last December we finally had a Tim Horton's Kcups which we only drink on special ocassion since you can only buy this in Canada.

Macchiato Monday - My first time

It might be hard to believe that the first time I tried a Macchiato coffee was in Rome, Italy.  I was on a business trip with my buddy Alex.  Since we were only there for two nights, we had to take advantage of doing our own tour of the city.  He has been there before so he knew where to take me.  We checked out the most interesting spot and at some point we had to stop for coffee.  You probably won't believe it but we saw a Dunkin Donut in the middle of the busy section.  There were different variety of coffee flavors and the one that attracted my taste buds was one called Macchiato.  I believe it was just plain or maybe it was a latte or maybe a caramel.  On the day of our departure while waiting for our flight in the business class lounge, I noticed people going up to the bar and ordering some fancy coffee.  That's right some guy was making it fresh and there I was lining up to get the best Macchiato coffee ever.  It's not the same when I make it from our Keurig coffee maker but the Archer Farms Caramel macchiato is not bad.

Weak or Wild Wednesday - Taste of Coffee

Before moving to San Jose, the coffee brand that I drink everyday before going to work is Tim Horton's coffee with double milk no sugar.  After getting the Keurig Coffee Machine from my MIL, all we drink now are all the different flavors from the different coffee brands.  Jeff has his own selection of favorites while I have a lot more variety since I like trying out new ones that are in the store as well as the limited edition kind.  I prefer the different flavor ones to just the regular, decaf, dark, light, roast.  Both Jeff and I don't care for the very strong coffee as it makes our blood pressure go high, specially me who really have to watch it.  Last Monday while re stocking our coffee display, I noticed that all of Jeff's favorite are gone.  We started checking on line for new flavor and we found some type that we would like to try.

So not fair Saturday - Tim Horton's please

While helping my MIL look for new coffee flavors at Bed Bath and Beyond, you cannot believe what I saw.  Tassimo now has a Tim Horton's flavored coffee and available in our area.  The biggest problem is that those cups will not fit our Keurig Coffee Maker.  How is it that Tim's made it for Tassimo and not K-cups.  Is it because Tassimo is more popular in Canada?  Even having so many flavors available in K-cups, I miss my Tim Horton's coffee.  I wonder if I wrote to the company and beg for them to start making some because their competitors are selling a lot.  I am sure that they already have an answer ready.  Oh bother
I guess I will just wait until my daughter says that she found Tim's K-cups and she bought some for me to try.  To my Canadian friends, if any of you find out Tim's is selling K-cups, you might get a chance to win a three night stay at our B&B.

It's not fair but then again K-cups have so many flavors available and there's always new ones arriving at the stores.

Three Tuesday - Coffee flavors

Second week of my Three on Tuesday and as you can see, today's topic is coffee flavors.  This will be my short and sweet post.

Two Tea and Two Coffee flavors
YES - to the two new coffee flavor that we have added to our collection.
Creme Brulee is from my MIL and Wild Blueberry Mountain I found at Ross.

NO - Instead of using these two tea flavors as Iced Tea drinks, my friend Michelle suggested to
just use them as hot tea drinks. My new favorite Sweet Raspberry Tea and second favorite
is the Half and Half (tea and lemon mix).  Both are a little too sweet for me but I just make
it in a bigger mug which dilutes it for a lesser sweet tea.

MAYBE - My sister will be coming for a visit and I have asked her to try and find the following
Timothy's flavored coffee (Winter Carnival and Sugar Bush Maple).  I hope she finds
both these flavor for us to try.  Just going by their names, I know that it will be a YES.

Timely Tuesday - Keurig Cups - Fall collection

Today while having breakfast, I am trying a new coffee flavor from the fall collection.  It's called Pumpkin Spice.  It has a hint of the spice not so much the pumpkin.  So I don't think this will be added to our daily collection.  The other one I tried last night as part of my night time snack.  It's called Apple Caramel Pie.  My opinion is that it's just OK.  When I can't really smell the flavor while it's brewing, then I know it won't be as good to drink.  A little disappointed with these new purchase.  These are still my favorites and when you come and stay at our CPBB, you can try these flavor and I know you will agree with me.

Finding Friday - things found when you are not looking

Don't you hate it when you are looking for something in particular that you cannot find?  Then one day when you are not searching for it, all of a sudden, it's there, right before your eyes.
Raspberry Chocolate Truffle flavor for our Keurig
We have been looking for this for a long time and sort of gave up.
This is one of our new favorite flavored coffee.
Since my MIL gave me some coupons for Bed, Bath and Beyond, we checked the store yesterday and found all of the above and use my coupons.

After my daughter's research on line, she advised me that my favorite beer is available at BEVMO.  My MIL has a special card for this store so we checked it out yesterday and sure enough, it was there and so I bought 4.
Fruli, Belgian strawberry flavored beer
Last night Jeff and I went for dinner to celebrate my one year anniversary living in sunny San Jose, CA.  It did not take me a long time to make the decision on where to eat.  I remember seeing the restaurant called Elephant Bar in Campbell area which is about 20 minutes drive from our home.  While I check the menu on line, Jeff checks the direction and we were off.
I took out my camera to remind myself to take photos of our meal but I was too hungry that when the food arrived, we started eating right away and completely forgot about the photos. Please check out their website.  http://www.elephantbar.com/
We started with the Wok-Fired chicken and lettuce wrap and for our main meal, we split the KONA BBQ Platter.  For dessert Jeff wanted the mini walnut fudge brownie.
