Trying Tuesday - my new hula hoop

Introducing my rainbow hula hoop.  When my daughter was here in August, I took her to my special Nail Supply Store.  In the same plaza we found some interesting store that sells items from clothes, toys, footwear, kitchen stuff and what a surprise, HULA HOOPS.  They sell them with different weights starting from 2,3, 4,5, 6 pounds.  I tried a couple then and checked out the prices which was very similar and within $1 or $2 spread.  I was not sure then but after a few weeks of thinking about it, I decided to get one and we went back to the same store.  It sat in our living room for a few days and then I started using it trying to remember what I did as a kid.  Well, what a surprise, it's not as easy as I thought it was.  I did a little research and watch a couple of videos how to do it.  Then the next day I tried it again.  Now I am happy to report that I could do it for a longer period than when I first started.  The instruction that came with it advices not to do it more than 15 minutes per day and no more than four times per week.  The other store owner who sold similar item suggested to do it once a day for about 15 minutes.  She mentioned that you should see some result specially in the waistline.

Have you ever tried using Hula Hoop as your fitness buddy?  Do you have special routine that you can suggest?  Hopefully I can see results after a few months and of course I will share whatever the outcome.  Happy Hula Hooping!

Simply Saturday - Do you have a Library Card?

Before I got my now Kindle (Jeff's old one) I use to read books, borrow books or buy books.  Now that I have the Kindle with almost 100 books and so far I only have read 3 books.  With Jeff having the Kindle Fire, he checked what the library is offering as far as downloading books from the library.  Yesterday, after lunch we decided to stop by the library near our home and we both signed up for our Library Card.  At the same time, I signed up to volunteer at this library.  Apparently they will be needing some help with their upcoming book sale in February.  They will be contacting me when to come in to sort books and help organize for the book sale. This was a spontaneous gesture and I thought since the location is so convenient, this might be my new volunteer place for this year.

This is the ebook I am currently reading.

As for my Just Dance 3 updates, I tried doing the Non Stop Shuffle and here's another favorite.

Truthful Thursday - just when I was on a roll

Yesterday while helping Jeff carry our old TV to his car, my left knee sort of had a kink and all of a sudden I couldn't continue.  Each time I put weight on it, it starts hurting which means I cannot continue with my Just Dance routine.  I was so looking forward to doing the Ce Lo Green song - FORGET YOU.  When I first tried this game, that was the first dance I did with my niece.  Now I will have to wait for my knee to heal before I can do my dancing exercise.  I was disappointed also because I got a call to play tennis today but I had to decline due to my knee.
Before I forget, the winner of my 5,328  hit is Zarah, she is my sister's friend, co-worker and pretend nurse.  Unfortunately she was not able to comment but as there were no other claims and I even got a call from my sister as soon as Zarah viewed my blog and surprisingly noticed that she had that number, it was good enough for me to confirm that Zarah is the winner. Congratulations Zarah, your surprise gift will be sent to you within a couple of weeks.  As for the next magic number, I will have to be creative and think about a new type of contest.  In the meantime enjoy this video of FORGET YOU.
