Maybe Monday - My friends are leaving today

A short post today because my friends are leaving and we just want to spend as much time today.  The first day they were here we took the time to catch up with stories.  Then I took Dianne and Yvette shopping while Jeff took Dale on his electric car and toured downtown SJC.
The next day we were going to Carmel and Monterey but while shopping at House of Thunder - Harley Davidson store in Morgan Hill, we found out that there is a car racing event there.  We had a meeting at the parking lot and decided to tour Santa Cruz instead.  We all had a great time.  I will post some photos tomorrow.  It was a beautiful day and we end the day by having dinner at Los Gatos Brewing company.  The meal was so good I would come back there.  My apologies for having a short post and probably a little boring.

  1. My friend Kitten (Luckie) is a little confused. Probably took much of the good life. Sunday we went to Santa Cruz & we had a blast. We attended the 1st annual Cactus festival, did a little retail therapy in some of the greatest shops (too easy to spend money), visited the world famous beach/pier/carnival & finished off with a great dinner in Los Gatos. Can you imagine how happy I was in a town named after cats?

On Monday, Luckie & her MIL were off to a casino & poor Jeff had to work FROM HOME. I really feel for him. Luckie generously loaned us her car & Dale, Yvette (my sister) & Catnip (me) cruised out to Monterey. We had breakfast & explored the pier. A little more retail therapy in the downtown & we put Yvette on the airport shuttle for SFO as her flight was earlier than ours.

Then my baby & I drove the 18 mile scenic drive over to Carmel. Wow! The word breathtaking doesn't do justice to the area. We walked around Carmel By the Sea & ended up buying a beautiful statue of, guess what? A cat. I named her Carmel. We drove over to Carmel Valley for lunch & wound our way back to San Jose on the scenic route.

We cut the time kind of close. We wanted to max out the experience. Jeff must have been listening for the car as he met us in the driveway. We packed in a flash & Jeff drove us to SFO airport.

Everything on our California holiday was absolutely fabulous. Napa Valley, San Francisco & San Jose all exceeded our expectations. Luckie & Jeff couldn't do enough for us. Luckie has named her home the Cranberry Portage Bed & Breakfast (CPBB). We have rated her establishment 5 star.

Luckie tickled our taste buds with her delicious cooking, gave Yvette a spa treatment (manicure & pedicure), took us on a personal shopping tour of her favourite haunts in SJ, chauffered us, toured us, wined & dined us & made us laugh until our cheeks hurt.

Luckie & Jeff are the hosts with the most. We can't thank you enough. Our visit with you was the icing on our California cake. We love you lots. Catnip
