Misty March

The weather has been really crazy in different parts of the world. In our area, our winter has been so mild and hardly received snow.  We had a lot of misty morning and foggy afternoons.  Of course we are not complaining because we could go for our daily walks without worrying about slipping and sliding.  Although some of our friends who love the outdoors were mentioning about the condition of the ski hills and cross country or snow shoeing tracks.  But they are not complaining either, instead we are just thankful that we have had the mildest winter since we moved to our city.  So what have I been spending my time.  Well, aside from trying different types of cookies, I have been sewing and doing other crafts.  In addition, I have to announce that I finally got an AIRFRYER.  For the longest time, I keep saying, I am not convinced I needed one. But our good friend decided to give me her old one which is quite bigger than I expected.  So far I have only used it once and now I can say, yes I like it.  Anyway, here are some photos I wanted to share for this post.

My girlfriend gave me this special doily that her mother made many many years ago.

This fabric was given to me by my girlfriend and I made it into a shopping bag.

My daughter sent this to me and so far is my favorite sauces to add to my cooking.

My new friend gave this to me - it's called a Scandinavian Star/

This was my first try to recreate it and I was very happy with the result.

I have been hanging onto this cookie jar and now decided to donate it.

Friendly February

A belated Happy Valentines to you my readers and or followers.  I did not realize that I have not posted for the second month of the year. Well, technically it is still February and I can still share whatever that might be interesting.  So first up, is the new garden flag I made as some of them have been fading for a while.

And now I will share some of the latest baking treats that I have made. Some are new recipes I am trying and of course the other one is my go to, specially when I am short of time. I am also sharing a small sample of treats from a girlfriend.

Oatmeal macadamia lace cookies with chocolate drizzle.

I guess I did not provide enough space in between.

My #1 favorite cookie - white chocolate macadamia cookies.

The sample treat from my girlfriend (sugar cookies and macaroons).

A new girlfriend gave this to me (Scandinavian Star)
in the hopes that I will start making them.
