Memorable May

 As the saying goes, better late than never.  So what is so memorable about this month, you might ask. Well our friends gave us a generous gift certificate to a place called Boulder Mountain Resort located in Revelstoke, BC.  It was only a couple of hours drive from our home to this wonderful resort.  We booked one of their cabin called RED STAG.  It was perfect for 2 people which includes a queen size bed, a sofa, a small kitchen table for 2 maybe even 4, a well equipped kitchen, a very modern bathroom and a small wood stove just in case you felt a little cold at night.  We did use it one night just for ambiance.  The resort is only a 7 minute drive to their downtown Revelstoke.  What a quaint town with a lot of great restaurant. Since it was during my birthday week, we decided to have breakfast at Denny's as it's free for me.  We wanted to try a mexican (CANTINA) restaurant for lunch and for dinner we chose a restaurant called 112 which is located in 112 street inside a nice hotel. Now here's some photos from our mini vacation. If you are ever in the area, you should try and stay at this magnificent resort. A wonderful experience of the outdoors with all the modern amenities inside.

April Animal Sitting

When I mentioned to my friend that we were dog and cat sitting for two weeks, she asked me if we were running an animal shelter. LOL. It just happened that our friends were going away about the same time so we actually didn't mind as cat sitting was easier and they lived close by.  Unfortunately I don't have photos to share, but I have photos to share of other type of animal that sometimes visit our backyard or front yard. Instead of more words to describe these animals, I will just share some photos and let you decide.

Mayhem March

As you all know our neighbors to the south is experiencing something more than just a mayhem, but I am not into politics so I am just going to wish everyone who lives in that country, good luck and I hope that things will get better and not worst.  Hang in there, maybe there will some sort of miracle and the country will be back to normal.  On that note, we have been experiencing very mild winter in British Columbia so I am hoping that the golf season will begin early next month.  I have been busy making face cradle for massage table.  My RMT asked if I could make them for their business and it took 2 prototype to get a the perfect fit.  So far I have made 22 and there is another order for 30. My RMT said it is the best fit and it's soft to the face. And it looks like this.

                             

Aside from the above, I also started making a few shopping bag from the remnants that I have. A few of them will be used as gifts, and the rest will be for our own use.

I also tried making some purse charm which was an idea from my daughter. I only wanted to try to make a few as I did not want to collect more stuff.  So far these are the ones I have done.

And finally, since the country started showing that we are true Canadians by flying our flag or showing something to support that Canada is NOT for sale, I made a new garden flag.

Fan Forever February

Last month you saw a preview of the passport holder (sports team).  I ended up doing some sort of challenge and completed all the fabrics that has been cut and ready for sewing. Lucky for me I have my MIL (mother in law) always ready for a challenge. In addition, I also finished the non sport passport fabric.  So far I only have sold 3 of them. Not really sure how to market it since I am not into ETSY or any other online sites.  I am hoping to stop by the hockey arena locally and maybe ask if they would have a market for it. Otherwise, it might end up just using it as gifts.  I have already sent a bunch of friends their very own holders (favorite team).  Anyway, here's the fan favorite collection of NHL, NFL, MLB and NBA. NHL and NFL Passport Holders

 A new year, a new project.  To all those sport fan who are loyal to their favorite team, you might want to check out this latest project that I have.  It all began when my BFF ask if I would be interested in making him a passport cover but it had to be an NHL team.  So I started checking the fabric store for available fabrics.  At the store nearby, I only found a few teams.  I decided to venture out to another similar fabric store in another town and got lucky.  Anyway, enough talking, I would rather just feature them this month.  As always, if you are a fan, please comment.
