FITB - It's better late than never

This morning when I got up I realized that I forgot to do a post for today.  I did want to disappoint the wonderful ladies at Laidley who takes the time to read my blog prior to their days work.  I am hoping that today they will find some love in their heart and hope that they are having a very HAPPY FRIDAY.  I checked FITBF blog and love it, so I am following her today.  It is so appropriate because it is at the tail end of the Valentine's week.

1.  The love of my life is   my husband and of course my children.

2.   Falling in love is   a great feeling and as you get older you truly understand what it's all about  .

3.  Marriage is   a corporation built on trust, patience and love .

4. The longest relationship I've ever had was  16 years! .

5. The key to a good relationship is  honesty and communication .

6. I feel loved when  someone does anything out of the ordinary or something simple but from the heart.

7.  My favorite quote about love is   "Sometimes you have to be apart from people you love, but that doesn't make you love them any less. Sometimes you love them more".

Wishes Wednesday - Birthday Wishes

If you remember a year ago today, my blog was all about my special friend, kinda like my brother and partner in crime.  Today he will be celebrating another birthday and I cannot have any other topic but to dedicate this post to him.
When I would complain to Percy about getting old, his response would be "You are not getting old, you are OLD".  Brother, please stop getting old because it makes me feel really OLD.

Truthful Thursday - Brock and friends

A surprise email from a very good friend of mine came in while we were having dinner on my birthday.  I opened it, read it and saw a great photo taken with a group of boys and men.  The majority of them are my old friends and some are my young friends.  They are all wearing Hawaiian shirt in honor of Eddie Dunn Day.  Eddie was a good friend who passed away some years ago.  He loved wearing that style of shirt.  Early last year, Jeff cleaned his closet and gave away almost 15 of these shirt to Brock.  Some of these shirts are shown on this photo.  I believe this was taken a couple of weeks ago during the boys annual golf getaway - Myrtle Beach.

My name recall is still pretty good because the ones I don't know recall are latest addition to the group.  It used to be only 8 or so guys.  They have another annual getaway called the BOYS weekend which happens in September.  It is held on an island somewhere north of Toronto.  It's a golf, fishing, poker and who knows what happen there, but they come back all happy and tanned. The truth is that some of them have been friends for over 20 years.  The truth is that their friendship is solid and you can count on them. They are very supportive and always there to lend a hand or even a shoulder to cry on.  The truth is I know I can count on them any time and feel very lucky to have them as my friends.
